Colorado Legacy Mine Lands Watershed Delineation and Scoring tool (WaDeS)

This web application, a summarized compilation of central Colorado water chemistry datasets from USGS and EPA, identifies legacy mine sites within the headwaters of central Colorado that could be good candidates for future remediation work based on stream metal concentrations, the number and complexity of mine features, and the potential for high natural background metal concentrations.

Hurricane Ida: USGS Response in Pennsylvania to September 1-2, 2021, Flooding Related to Remnants of Hurricane Ida

This geonarrative is an interactive online presentation of the USGS Pennsylvania Water Science Center's data collection efforts related to Hurricane Ida. This geonarrative includes a summary of the storm in Pennsylvania, USGS data collection methods, embedded interactive maps of flood extents in 5 southeastern Pennsylvania localities, and visual depictions of the storm’s impact across the state.

Concentration data for 12 elements of concern in surface water of three hydrologic basins (Delaware River, Illinois River and Upper Colorado River) – A data visualization tool

This data visualization and exploration tool was designed as part of the USGS WMA Proxies Project. It provides surface water concentration data associated with 12 elements of concern (Al, As, Cd, Cr, Cu, Fe, Hg, Mn, Pb, Se, U, Zn) in a geospatial framework spanning three hydrologic basins (Delaware River, Illinois River, and the Upper Colorado River).

Landsat Science Team Meeting Presentations Search

During Landsat Science Team meetings, members present their research that is relevant to the meeting topics, and are briefed by USGS and NASA staff on mission and program status. The Landsat Science Team Meeting Presentations search tool enables the search and discovery of all presentation presented at previous meetings.

Coastal Science Navigator

An online gateway for users such as state and local planners, resources managers, consultants, and researchers to more easily gain access to USGS coastal science data, products, tools, and information.

Interactive Map: West Virginia Public Water System Drought Risk

This application is intended to help emergency, environmental, and public health managers at the federal, state, and local levels in West Virginia evaluate, plan for, and respond to potential drought conditions in at-risk communities. It uses estimated public water supply withdrawal rates to symbolize modeled drought conditions once every hour using National Water Model streamflow estimates.

Celebrating a Half-Century at EROS

For 50 years, the EROS Center has been archiving and distributing satellite, aerial, and mapping data amidst farmland north of Sioux Falls, South Dakota. We invite you to explore the surprising history and cutting-edge science and research performed at EROS every day.

Groundwater Resources of the New Jersey Coastal Plain

Online maps provide a view into the groundwater resources of 10 confined aquifers beneath Central and Southern New Jersey. These large-scale water-level surveys completed every 5 years provide a regional overview of groundwater conditions and helps water resource managers identify vulnerabilities to ensure their sustainability for current and future groundwater use.

Tagged Animal Movement (TAME)

The Tagged Animal Movement Explorer (TAME) is an interactive data visualization tool for exploring spatial and temporal patterns of animal movements.

Klamath Dam Removal Studies web map

This interactive webmap shows USGS dam removal monitoring locations in the Klamath River basin. Monitoring activities include: suspended-sediment, macroinvertebrates, suspended sediment sampling, topographic surveying, bathymetric surveying, geomorphologic mapping, and riparian vegetation mapping.

Catalog of Geospatial Datasets for the USGS Water Quality Program, Proxies Project

The Proxies Project is a series of studies to improve our understanding of water contaminants and water quality hazards. These studies develop models and technical approaches for estimating concentrations and assessing risk associated with:

- harmful algal blooms (HABs)

- per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS)

-12 elements of concern (EoC) The Proxies Project is a series of studies to impro

USGS New York State HydroCoM

The New York Water Dashboard presents USGS real-time stream, lake and reservoir, precipitation and groundwater data for more than 300 USGS real-time observation stations in New York.
