GECSC scientists create geologic maps and three-dimensional framework models of the rocks and surficial deposits at and beneath the Earth’s surface to provide information on critical ground-water aquifers, hazards (seismic, subsidence, landslide), resources (minerals, energy), and geomorphic system responses to environmental change.
