Detailed Description
Brown treesnakes (Boiga irregularis, BTS) are a nocturnal and cryptic species. Participants of the BTS Rapid Response Team training are learning to recognize snakes in complex jungle at night with their bright headlamps. Here, a BTS was spotted, captured, and measured. This training is conducted at the Guam National Wildlife Refuge.

Brown Treesnake Rapid Response Team
The Brown Treesnake Rapid Response Team (RRT) evaluates snake sightings and quickly deploys when sightings are credible and match a brown treesnake. The RRT is an interagency partnership that cooperatively prevents the spread of brown treesnakes in the United States and territories.
