Calculated gravity anomaly produced by possible fault under line 27-48

The seismograph data from Line 27-48 of Party 47 indicates the possibility of a high angle fault win a displacement of roughly 1,000 feet under South Barrow Test Well No. 2. This fault vas discussed in E. Wiancko's report for United Geophysical Company entitled "Report of Reflection Seismograph Survey in the Barrow Area During 1948".Mr. Delta. and Mr. English recently expressed a desire to know th

Distribution of uranium in the Florida phosphate field

Land-pebble phosphate, hard-rock phosphate, and river-pebble phosphate are the three types of phosphatic rock found in Florida. This report is concerned primarily with the land-pebble deposits, the only type which contains a significant amount of uranium. The most productive part of the land-pebble district is in Polk and Hillsborough Counties, in the west-central part of the Florida peninsula. P

Progress on detection of radioactivity by airborne equipment

Coincidence and anti-coincidence counting rate meters and also an air conductivity meter have been installed in a transport plane to measure gamma radiation from ground sources. Materials containing 0.01 percent uranium can be detected at 500 feet and at an airspeed of 150 miles per hour.
