Brian Reichert, PhD
Brian is Branch Chief of the Ecoinformatics and Wildlife Technology (ECOTECH) Branch at the Fort Collins Science Center, where he serves as Coordinator of the North American Bat Monitoring Program.
As ECOTECH Branch Chief, Brian oversees a multidisciplinary team dedicated to modernizing natural resource science through streamlined workflows, innovative technology, and scalable data systems. ECOTECH designs and maintains integrated software, hardware, and cloud-based solutions that enhance operational efficiency, reduce duplication, and ensure long-term continuity of critical biological monitoring information. Through strong partnerships and a systems-engineering approach, the team delivers tools and infrastructure that improve scientific outcomes, increase transparency, and support mission-critical decisions. Brian’s leadership reflects a commitment to effective science delivery, cross-agency collaboration, and the modernization of data systems that help resource managers meet today’s environmental challenges.
