Data Releases

The data collected and the techniques used by USGS scientists should conform to or reference national and international standards and protocols if they exist and when they are relevant and appropriate. For datasets of a given type, and if national or international metadata standards exist, the data are indexed with metadata that facilitates access and integration.

Data acquired in laboratory experiments conducted to characterize Ag bioaccumulation kinetics in Daphnia magna after exposures to polystyrene microplastics and Ag nanoparticles Data acquired in laboratory experiments conducted to characterize Ag bioaccumulation kinetics in Daphnia magna after exposures to polystyrene microplastics and Ag nanoparticles

Microplastics (MPs) are an environmental concern. They can interact with other contaminants and pose new threats to organisms. We assessed the effect MPs on silver (Ag) bioaccumulation in the filter-feeding zooplankton Daphnia magna exposed to Ag nanoparticles at environmentally relevant concentrations.

Concentration results for per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) analyzed in fish tissue, bed sediment, and biofilm samples, Montana, 2023 Concentration results for per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) analyzed in fish tissue, bed sediment, and biofilm samples, Montana, 2023

This data release contains the concentration results of per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) collected in fish tissue and whole blood, bed sediment and biofilm samples from water bodies in and surrounding the Little Bighorn River (LBHR) in Montana in July 2023. A total of 29 filets and whole blood samples were collected from 10 brown trout, 10 catfish, 6 rock bass, and 3 goldeye...

LANDFIRE 2024 Update (ver. 2.0, March 2026) LANDFIRE 2024 Update (ver. 2.0, March 2026)

This product suite maintains LANDFIRE's ongoing goal to release annual updates every year that are current to the previous year. This means LF 2024 accounts for disturbances up through Fiscal Year 2024 and is being released in 2025. The releases are intended to provide critical, up-to-date information ahead of the fire season for areas of the United States prone to large devastating...

Observed reproductive status and estimated den entrance and emergence data for radio-marked females and estimated birth dates of offspring for four grizzly bear populations in North America, 2011-2021 Observed reproductive status and estimated den entrance and emergence data for radio-marked females and estimated birth dates of offspring for four grizzly bear populations in North America, 2011-2021

This data release contains the observed reproductive status and estimated den entrance and emergence data for 114 radio-marked female grizzly bears and the estimated birth dates of offspring for four populations in North America collected from 2011-2021. The studied populations inhabited the Greater Yellowstone Ecosystem, Northern Continental Divide Ecosystem, Selkirk and Cabinet-Yaak...

Model Archive Summary for Suspended-Sediment Concentration at station 06329500, Yellowstone River near Sidney, Montana, April 2022 through October 2024 Model Archive Summary for Suspended-Sediment Concentration at station 06329500, Yellowstone River near Sidney, Montana, April 2022 through October 2024

This model archive summary (MAS) and associated model calibration dataset documents the suspended-sediment concentration (SSC) model developed to compute 15-minute, near-real-time SSC at U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) streamgage station 06329500, Yellowstone River near Sidney, Montana (MT) for calendar years 2022-2024 and is the model currently in use. This model is specific to USGS site...

Results of generalized least-squares (GLS) regression for 63 USGS streamgages in urban areas in Washington D.C. and parts of Delaware, Maryland, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and Virginia using data through water year 2022 Results of generalized least-squares (GLS) regression for 63 USGS streamgages in urban areas in Washington D.C. and parts of Delaware, Maryland, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and Virginia using data through water year 2022

This dataset contains results of generalized least-squares (GLS) regression for 63 streamflow gaging stations (streamgages) operated by the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) on urban streams in Washington D.C. and parts of Delaware, Maryland, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and Virginia. This dataset was created to support the Washington D.C. StreamStats project funded by the Washington D.C...

Annual Bioclimatic Variables (BIO1-BIO19) derived from CMIP6-LOCA2 (1950-2100) for the Contiguous United States Annual Bioclimatic Variables (BIO1-BIO19) derived from CMIP6-LOCA2 (1950-2100) for the Contiguous United States

This data release provides annual values for the 19 standard bioclimatic variables (BIO1–BIO19) for the Contiguous United States, computed from the downscaled CMIP6-LOCA2 temperature and precipitation dataset for 1950–2100. Daily maximum temperature, minimum temperature, and precipitation from 27 CMIP6-LOCA2 GCMs were processed using the Python xclim library to generate bioclimatic...

Multiproxy paleoecological data from Santa Fe Lake, NM Multiproxy paleoecological data from Santa Fe Lake, NM

This data release contains paleoecological records from Santa Fe Lake, NM USA. Santa Fe Lake is a small (1.4 ha), subalpine lake in the Sangre de Cristo Mountain Range of the Southern Rocky Mountains (35.79°N, 105.78°W, 3532 m a.s.l). Overlapping sediment cores were taken from Santa Fe Lake in September, 2020 in 5.4 m of water from a coring platform with a Livingstone square-rod piston...

Regression models developed to estimate Escherichia coli concentrations using 2019-24 data at four stream sites in Chester and Delaware Counties, Pennsylvania Regression models developed to estimate Escherichia coli concentrations using 2019-24 data at four stream sites in Chester and Delaware Counties, Pennsylvania

Regressions were developed to predict Escherichia coli (E. coli) concentrations at four U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) gages on streams in Chester and Delaware Counties in southeastern Pennsylvania. The regression analysis was based on 2019-24 discrete E. coli concentrations measured in samples collected approximately monthly by USGS from April to October and concurrent available...

Daily coastal low cloudiness, precipitable water, related atmospheric variables, and model code for Southern California (1996–2020) Daily coastal low cloudiness, precipitable water, related atmospheric variables, and model code for Southern California (1996–2020)

Low-level stratiform clouds modulate California's coastal climate during the warm season. Previous work describing the seasonal and daily variability of coastal low cloudiness (CLC) suggests that in July, August, and September southern California's CLC is under the influence of an additional driver, which has less impact in northern California. In this work, we introduce the link in...
