Annual Management Unit Summary Code Annual Management Unit Summary Code
The Phragmites Adaptive Management Framework (PAMF) is an adaptive management program created to improve the efficacy and efficiency of Phragmites management efforts throughout the Great Lakes region. Managers enroll Phragmites stands, report the management techniques they used, and monitor the invasion status of Phragmites on their site (management unit - MU). Through a systematic...
Aquatic community and environmental data for 14 rivers and streams in the Milwaukee Metropolitan Sewerage District Planning Area, 2004-13 Aquatic community and environmental data for 14 rivers and streams in the Milwaukee Metropolitan Sewerage District Planning Area, 2004-13
In 2004, 2007, 2010, and 2013, the U.S. Geological Survey sampled benthic algae and invertebrates, and fish to assess the condition of the aquatic communities and water quality in 14 wadable streams near Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Additional community sampling was also done at a subset of three sites in 2011 and 2012 to assess temporal variation. Selected environmental (physical and chemical)...
Aquatic Macroinvertebrate Data Collected from Kansas City Metro Area Streams, 2011-2013 Aquatic Macroinvertebrate Data Collected from Kansas City Metro Area Streams, 2011-2013
During Fall 2011 (Oct. 3-6, 2011), Spring 2012 (March 26-28, 2012), Spring 2013 (April 28-30, 2013), and Fall 2013 (Oct. 22-25, 2013), the USGS-CERC (Barry Poulton) and the Kansas City Water Services Dept. (Jing Tao) sampled stream-dwelling aquatic macroinvertebrate communities in nine watersheds within the non-connected stormwater management region in Kansas City, Missouri, utilizing...
Aquifer extents in the coastal lowlands aquifer system regional groundwater availability study area in Texas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, and Florida, 2020 Aquifer extents in the coastal lowlands aquifer system regional groundwater availability study area in Texas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, and Florida, 2020
The U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) undertook a 5-year study beginning in 2016 to assess groundwater availability for the aquifers proximal to the Gulf of Mexico from the Texas-Mexico border to the western part of the panhandle of Florida; these aquifers are collectively referred to as the coastal lowlands aquifer system. This study is one of several regional groundwater availability...
Aquifer test data for multiple-well monitoring site LHSP, Kern County, California Aquifer test data for multiple-well monitoring site LHSP, Kern County, California
To determine aquifer characteristics, pneumatic slug tests were performed on selected zones and aquifers at a monitoring site near the Lost Hills oil field in the Southern San Joaquin Valley in Kern County. On May 30th and 31st, 2018, pneumatic slug tests were performed at five monitoring wells located at the multiple-well groundwater-monitoring site LHSP (26S/21E-07J1 through ?J5) near...
Aquifer test data for the Belridge multiple-well monitoring site (BWSD), Kern County, California Aquifer test data for the Belridge multiple-well monitoring site (BWSD), Kern County, California
To determine aquifer characteristics, pneumatic slug tests were performed on selected zones and aquifers at a monitoring site near the North and South Belridge oil fields in the Southern San Joaquin Valley in Kern County. On November 19th and 20th, 2018, pneumatic slug tests were performed at five monitoring wells located at the multiple-well groundwater-monitoring site BWSD (28S/21E...
Archival data sets for regressions to estimate continuous streamflow, turbidity, and suspended sediment in support of study evaluating effects of removal of legacy sediment at Big Spring Run, Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, 2009-2015 Archival data sets for regressions to estimate continuous streamflow, turbidity, and suspended sediment in support of study evaluating effects of removal of legacy sediment at Big Spring Run, Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, 2009-2015
The stream corridor at the Big Spring Run restoration site has been identified as a substantial source of sediment and nutrients to streams due to streambank erosion and floodplain scour of legacy sediment. Three USGS streamgages were installed and water-quality monitoring began in water year 2009, prior to the legacy sediment removal from the restoration area. The legacy sediment was...
Archive of boomer sub bottom data collected off shore Eureka, California during USGS field activity W-1-96-NC from 1996-06-29 to 1996-07-07 Archive of boomer sub bottom data collected off shore Eureka, California during USGS field activity W-1-96-NC from 1996-06-29 to 1996-07-07
This data release contains boomer subbottom data collected in June and July of 1996 on the shelf and slope offshore Eureka, California. Subbottom acoustic penetration spans up to several tens of meters, and is variable by location. This data release contains digital SEG-Y data. The data were collected aboard the R/V Wecoma using a Huntec Hydrosonde Deep-Tow system.
Archive of Chirp Subbottom Profile Data Collected in 2019 From Cedar Island, Virginia Archive of Chirp Subbottom Profile Data Collected in 2019 From Cedar Island, Virginia
As part of the Coastal Sediment Availability and Flux Project, scientists from the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) St. Petersburg Coastal and Marine Science Center conducted a nearshore geophysical survey to map the shoreface of Cedar Island, Virginia (VA) in August of 2019. The objective of the project is to improve the understanding of barrier island geomorphic evolution and the sediment...
Archive of Digitized Analog Boomer Seismic Reflection Data Collected from the Northern Gulf of Mexico: 1982, 1985, 1989, 1991, and 1992 Archive of Digitized Analog Boomer Seismic Reflection Data Collected from the Northern Gulf of Mexico: 1982, 1985, 1989, 1991, and 1992
The U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) Coastal and Marine Hazards and Resources Program (CMHRP) has actively collected geophysical and sedimentological data in the northern Gulf of Mexico for several decades, including shallow subsurface data in the form of high-resolution seismic reflection profiles (HRSP). Prior to the mid-1990s most HRSP data were collected in analog format as paper rolls...

Arctic Shorebird Population Model Arctic Shorebird Population Model
This R script will run one example of the stochastic matrix models run by Weiser et al. (2020) to simulate shorebird populations. The model predicts population growth rates and elasticity values of vital rates. The example script is stand-alone and contains input values for one example species; input values for the other species are provided in the manuscript.
