There are 17 different types of structures TNMCorps volunteers collect and update as point data for use on US Topo Maps and other various USGS products. Each structure type is represented by a unique symbol, which is placed on the center of a building or cemetery site in aerial imagery.

TNMCorps volunteers are responsible for researching each feature and determining if a new point needs to be added, or if existing points need to be updated or deleted.
