New York Borehole Well Log Viewer

Borehole geophysics is the science of recording and analyzing measurements of physical properties made in wells or test holes. Probes that measure different properties are lowered into the borehole to collect continuous or point data that is graphically displayed as a geophysical log.

Monthly Hydrologic Conditions for New York Mapper

The U.S. Geological Survey New York Water Science Center’s monthly summary reports and tables of hydrologic conditions for surface and ground water list the station, county, period of record, and several statistics, including color-coded percent exceedance categories based on average monthly conditions for the period of record at each station.

Central Valley: Drought Indicators

During the recent droughts of 2007-2010 and 2012-2017, groundwater pumping has increased from the combined effects of the drought and land-use changes, re-initiating land subsidence. In order to document historical subsidence and monitor continued changes, the USGS has gathered and interpreted data from a variety of sources.

Global Ecosystems Viewer

The Global Ecosystems Viewer provides visualization and feature identification of continental and global ecosystems data. Data from the Global Ecosystems activity allow for a fine resolution inventory of land-based ecological features anywhere on Earth, and contribute to increased understanding of ecological pattern and ecosystem distributions.

Kansas Flood Map

This map shows the location of stream gages where the water level is currently at or above flood stage (depicted as a black triangle) or at high flow (depicted as blue circles) The high flow conditions are expressed as percentiles that compare the current (i.e., within the past several hours) instantaneous flow value to historical daily mean flow values

NYWSC 305b map - Ambient Groundwater Quality Monitoring

Ambient groundwater quality monitoring well mapper information for New York

GLRI Edge-of-Field Monitoring (geonarrative)

The GLRI Edge-of-Field Monitoring project focuses on identifying and reducing agricultural sources of excess nutrients which can threaten the health of the Great Lakes. This geonarrative details the basics of edge-of-field monitoring (EOF), explores EOF applications, shows USGS is working collaboratively with our partners, and discusses how EOF can improve conservation efforts.

USGS Dam Removal Information Portal (DRIP)

A tool to explore trends about dam removal science and query scientific studies that evaluate environmental response to dam removals.

USGS Data Grapher

This is a data graphing utility that allows the user to build graphs of data from selected USGS stations. Select the station, the type of graph, the parameter(s) to plot, and the starting and ending dates for the graph.

GAP/LANDFIRE National Terrestrial Ecosystems 2011 Map Viewer

The GAP/LANDFIRE National Terrestrial Ecosystems represents a highly thematically detailed land cover map of the U.S. This dataset is produced by the U.S. Geological Survey in collaboration with the LANDFIRE Program.  The spatial data layer was created using Landsat satellite imagery and a detailed vegetation and land use classification system.

Gap Analysis Project (GAP) Species Viewer

The GAP Species Viewer provides nation-wide range maps and distribution models for amphibians, birds, mammals, and reptiles occurring in the continental U.S., Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico, and U.S. Virgin Islands. These kinds of maps and data are fundamental to assessing patterns of species richness and planning for the management of the nation's biological diversity.

Alabama Strategic Habitat Units Applications

WARC's Advanced Applications Team develops and maintains databases and applications to help the Alabama Department of Transportation and the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service ensure new road construction and existing road maintenance at waterway crossings don't adversely affect threatened and endangered species dependent on those waterways.
