Alan H Rea, P.E. (Retired)
Alan Rea is a retired hydrologist with the U.S. Geological Survey's National Geospatial Program for the National Hydrography Dataset.
He worked as a hydrologist and geographic information systems specialist for the U.S. Geological Survey in Oklahoma City from 1989 to 1999, and in Boise, Idaho since 1999. Prior to becoming co-lead for the National Hydrography Dataset in 2014, Al was a member of the national development teams for StreamStats (http://streamstats.usgs.gov) and the National Hydrography Dataset Plus (NHDPlus). Al has specialized in developing techniques for raster data processing, and particularly for the integration of elevation and hydrographic data.
