Victoria G. Stengel

Victoria conducts geospatial analysis (e.g., LiDAR, remote sensing, 'big data' geoprocessing using python), surface hydrology modeling, cartographic design, web mapping, data management, and project management.


Prior to joining the USGS in 2012, Victoria held an academic appointment as a Graduate Assistant teaching remote sensing and researching topics in Geographic Information Science for the Department of Geography at Texas State University.

Education and Certifications

  • MS in Geography, Texas State University, May 2014. Victoria's graduate work focused in Geocomputation, LiDAR, multispectral remote sensing, and watershed scale surface hydrology modeling;


  • BS in Geography-Geographic Information Science, with a minor in Business Administration, Texas State University, Cum laude, Gamma Theta Upsilon and Alpha Chi honor societies;

  • Texas State University Certificate in Water Resource Policy;

    Texas State University Certificate in Geographic Information Systems.
