Storm Summary Timelapse Dashboard (SSTL)

Many USGS water-resource monitoring sites have webcams installed to allow remote visibility of current water and environmental conditions, identify technical issues, verify remote measurements, and gather data for visual analyses. The Storm Summary Timelapse Dashboard (SSTL) displays many of these active webcams and provides access to still-frame images and timelapse videos of recent conditions.

The series of surficial aquifer studies were completed to evaluate the unconfined aquifer system of the NJ Coastal Plain for use as a potential source of water. As the demand for water in the State increases and the restrictions continue on the use of water from certain confined aquifers, withdrawals on the unconfined aquifer system are expected to increase.

A high-resolution airborne and ground-based geophysical survey was conducted near Shellmound, Mississippi as part of the Mississippi Alluvial Plain (MAP) Regional Water Availability Study. Pennsylvania Groundwater Quality Monitoring Network

USGS Pennsylvania Water Science Center, in cooperation with the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection, samples 28 wells biannually to monitor ambient groundwater quality conditions in a variety of settings throughout Pennsylvania. The most recent results for selected constituents can be accessed through the Groundwater Quality Monitoring Network Web Tool, which includes an interactive map with user selectable results.

Pennsylvania StreamStats

StreamStats is a national web-based application that provides selected water-resource information for Pennsylvania. Users can easily obtain descriptive information, basin characteristics, and streamflow statistics for USGS streamgages and ungaged stream locations throughout the Commonwealth. Water use data is also available for Pennsylvania in StreamStats.

Philadelphia Water Quality Monitoring Network

The Philadelphia Water Department (PWD) and USGS have been working together to create and expand the water-quality monitoring network for Philadelphia. Data from these gaging stations will allow PWD scientists and engineers to monitor spatial and temporal water quality/quantity trends in the City in support of watershed restoration initiatives occurring within the City.
