Sara Elizabeth Breitmeyer


Sara Breitmeyer is a chemist with the Water Mission Area in Boulder, CO.  She completed a B.A. degree in Chemistry, and M.S. degree in Environmental Science.  She supports the organic geochemistry project that specializes in the isolation and characterization of natural organic matter in surface water environments, and investigates interactions between natural organic matter and trace metal contaminants (e.g. mercury). The project includes both field campaigns and fundamental lab studies. She also supports many USGS projects by providing validation of instrumental analysis, metals redox determinations, data collection, and data management.
